My best week

Like all kids, they do the opposite to there further, so I was surprised when Reece and his cousin Luke wanted to join me in Vass.

“Club Vassiliki has gained legendary status in the windsurfing community as one of the world's largest windsurf centers, custom-designed to meet the windsurfer's every need”

That’s what it said on the there website, but if you’ve ever been there you’ll know its an understatement. It didn’t matter if they were serving food or instructing on the water, everyone working at ClubVass were clearly there to enjoy it, and that feeling is catching.

While ClubVass had put it down as a bit of a speed freaks week, which I was worried may put some off, but we ended up with great bunch for guys and girls. We had a speed gun set-up out in the bay every afternoon when the wind was at its strongest which was helped to judge the improvement in top speed. But true benefits of sailing faster with confidence could be seen in the gybeing.

As the week went on I could feel a change in everyone about speed, its not all about removing your brain and taking the fools, but speed comes from confidence and that you can only have when you relax.

While we were all for flying around, the boys had joined in the normal ClubVass lessons, and how did they improve. The end of the week saw Reece and I sailing side by side in the foot straps, and for me that was the highlight of my year.

You’d be forgiven for thinking I’m just talking it up, but so impressed were the two boys with the week, we’re all going back for a weeks holiday with ClubVass next year, something I thought I’d never get asked by the family.
