Been one of those weeks with nothing really going on. The winds been too light to windsurf, and only just enough to get the kite going, but then after last weeks disaster I needed to get out and sort my self out. The new camera boxes are finished and already packed in the van for a potential drivenbywind session at the end of the week.
At the moment there is a chance we could get another session in on Friday or Saturday. There is a strong forecast predicted for Friday, but right now it looks to be all happening at night. But as we know forecasts can get it wrong, hopefully this one will be and the wind will hit early enough to run Friday or late so we run Saturday.
After last weeks kite disasters I got a lot of stick from the wife, apparently my life insurance wont pay out again, so she’s told me to get it right or give it up. Don’t like to admit it but had to agree, but for a different reason. I look like a bag of spuds hanging on a rope; somehow I’ve got to get a little style going.
With the nights drawing out we managed to get a late session in on Thursday and Friday, though pretty uneventful it was time on the water. We got to the beach early on Saturday, but obviously not early enough, we had to park at the far end of the road there were so many people down. Not that anyone was out; there wasn’t enough wind to get going.
Eventually we did get a couple of hours in, which was more than Sunday had to offer, but at least I learnt something. No one wants to take pix, its easy when were windsurfing, I normally grab the camera for a while and then let everyone have a go that’s on the beach. It’s no so easy with the kite, for one I can’t drop the thing on my own, and ever one I know seems to be in the same boat.
My pocket camera broke a few weeks ago, got another but this one really doesn’t take good pix. Though it would be easy to take it with me as its waterproof, but apart from not being clear, I’ve still got the kite hanging off the harness, and the way the others kite I’m not too keen on getting close to the action.
Sorry for the pix, hopefully I’ll do better next week
