Not sure how many times I’ve watched it, but The Windsurfing Movie for the me is the best windsurfing film out there, but the big applauses should go to the guys why got it on the big screen. Windsurfing maybe my dream, but my boys have a different theatre for their dreams. Love or hate them, watching Manchester United at home really is an experienced not to be missed.
Particularly when it’s the last home game of the yea and they’ve got one hand on the cup. I’ve been trying to get tickets for weeks but just as I’d given up a friend came good, for me at least, he couldn’t go.
Could do without the nine-hour drive, but some how it didn’t seam so long when the crowed erupted after the first goal. From then on it was just a string of calibrations as united kept pinging the ball into the back of the net. They won, but not us much as me, got a little bit of credit with the kids.
It was also start of National Windsurfing Week, but to kick it off the crew organizing it had arranged for The Windsurfing Move to be premiered in a theatre just off Leicester Square, it may not have had the same size of audience, but the applause was just as real.
The movie’s been out for more than a year, I can’t believe how many people haven’t seen it. If you’re one of them, pop out and get a copy grab a few non windsurfing mates, pop it in the DVD and we’ll soon have a few more people to sail with.
There was only one good day of wind this week, but we sure made the most of it. Three hours at Southend with another three at Clacton and all strengths allowed for some great condition, though the kite boys at Southend my efforts look a little poor.
It was good to see Nik back on the water; his many knee opps have kept him off the water for more than a year. Feel a bit bad for not getting a pic, but know he’d rather get back up to speed after a few more sails.
